Reading to Colin

You know that you are truly - I mean truly loved - when you're read a book by someone who loves you through and through. Colin loves for me to read to him each and every night. The book of choice right now is a book I recently bought "Sponge Bob & Friends". It's huge with lots of illustrations. And when we visit Papa Johnny, rest asure he has Papa Johnny read to him as well. My son is pretty lucky to have all this love in his life. And we are blessed to have this amazing little boy to show us God's grace.

Reading to Colin

Colin's Development

You know it's hard to believe it's been 2 years since this was taken. I can't believe just how much he's grown. It's mind boggling. You blink and they've grown so much. Too fast if you ask me.

Blessing Children

Today's Daily Word - Monday, June 18, 2007
I give thanks for the blessing of the children in my life and in my heart. I give thanks for God’s blessings of children and grandchildren of my own and all the children of the world. I find joy in observing children as they find delight in even the simplest aspects of life—the excitement of finding a bug in the garden, the fun of rolling in the grass, the joy of running in the rain.
I am grateful for the love children and I have shared and for the wonderful adults they are becoming or have become. I may not have children or grandchildren in my home, but I thank God for the chance to mentor children who might not otherwise have a positive role model in their lives. I revel in their excitement when they have learned a new skill or mastered a difficult subject.
“Thank You, God, for each and every opportunity to love and work with children.”
“Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”—Matthew 19:14.

Colin's Christening

OK I know this is going backwards however - I so miss Colin being little, don't get me wrong I mean he's still little but they grow so fast. I mean you blink and their grown. Thank God they "kids" don't grow too fast - but I see these baby pics and it just reminds me just how much he's grown. It just seems like yesterday he was this little.

Doesn't Colin look like a Doll??

A day at the Zoo with Aunt MeMe

Day at the Zoo May 07

Here's more little pics from the day at the Zoo. Because washing your hands is ALWAYS important.

Here we are giving Hugs to cousin Brigham.

And here we have Aunt MeMe, Cousin Brigham and Colin

You gotta love little people enjoying the day at the Zoo.

Colin at the Zoo May 2007

Here's little man at the Zoo with Aunt MeMe. He loved it! Here he is climbing aboard the Chew-Chew train. My dad was an Engineer on the RailRoad it would have made him so proud to see his name sake enjoying himself.

Here he is playing Picaso. Colin really LOVES to color. I think he's a little artist at heart.
